SplitNext is a public beta app for coordinating shared expenses in small groups.

Data We Collect

SplitNext collects minimal coordination data needed to make shared groups work:

• Group names.
• Member display names.
• Expenses and settlements entered by group members.
• Activity history for group changes.
• Group invite link state, including which existing member slots have been claimed. Raw invite tokens are not intentionally stored; the backend stores token hashes.
• Device push tokens when notifications are enabled.
• Operational monitoring data such as downloads, visits, crashes, errors, app version, platform, and user reports.

Data We Do Not Collect

SplitNext does not collect emails, phone numbers, contacts, precise location, payment details, account profiles, clickstream analytics, screen-by-screen behavior, invite codes or invite link tokens in analytics, or detailed in-group interaction tracking.

How Data Is Used

Data is used to sync group expenses, show balances, support group invite links, support notifications, diagnose crashes and errors, respond to support requests, and operate the public beta.

Third-Party Services

SplitNext uses third-party services to operate the app:

• Supabase for database, backend, and Edge Functions.
• Expo/EAS for app builds and OTA updates.
• Expo push notifications and Firebase/Google services for notifications.
• Sentry for crash/error monitoring once configured.
• Apple App Store/TestFlight and Google Play for mobile distribution.

Retention

Group data is retained until join-code verified deletion or an announced beta reset/migration. SplitNext does not auto-delete inactive groups during public beta and does not promise indefinite retention.

Deletion Requests

Because SplitNext has no accounts, deletion requests are verified using the group invite code plus matching group details. To request deletion, contact santistebanc94@gmail.com with:

• Group name.
• Invite code.
• At least two member names in the group.
• Confirmation that deletion may affect all group participants.

Beta Limitations

SplitNext treats beta data as real user data and makes a best-effort attempt to preserve, protect, and delete it on valid request. The public beta has no uptime guarantee, no perfect recovery guarantee, and no compensation promise for data loss or downtime.
